The choreographer and dancer Antonio Ruz (Córdoba, 1976), Premio Nacional de Danza award in 2018, reviews his artistic career in dialogue with journalist Antonio San José in a new session of Conversations at the Fundación Juan March. As a dancer, Ruz began his career in the Víctor Ullate’s Ballet, where he became principal dancer; he later joined the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Lyon Opera Ballet. In 2006 he returned to Spain to join Nacho Duato's Compañía Nacional de Danza.

As a choreographer, since 2007 he has collaborated with the Sasha Waltz & Guests company (Berlin) and the Spanish dance company Estévez-Paños & Compañía. His latest creations include Electra (2017) for the Ballet Nacional de España, Ostinato (2018) for La Mov Compañía de Danza, In Paradisum (2021) for the Compañía Nacional de Danza and La noche de San Juan (2021), a co-production of the Fundación Juan March and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
